The Photos Say it All

Petty Officer Jermain Thomas from the Naval Nuclear Power Training Unit and Brian Nealon, ceo of the Wesley Community, near the new community garden at Wesley. Thomas has been the Navy Volunteer Coordinator since 2009 and has, along with others from the Navy, been actively involved in volunteer projects throughout Saratoga Springs.

Work has continued steadily on the garden site with volunteers constructing raised beds and filling them with topsoil. There will be more than 50 beds constructed when the community garden is complete. Most of the beds are 10 by 5 feet. About 5 were built taller and designed to be handicapped accessible.  Here are photographs taken earlier today.

Men from the Naval Nuclear Power Training Unit along with a resident of Wesley and other volunteers worked together    to construct raised beds.
