A Wonderful Celebration

The Harvest Dinner for the Saratoga Springs Community Garden was held tonight in Embury Towers on the Wesley campus.

About 50 gardeners and their friends or family gathered for the festivities which included a performance by cellist Andre O’Neil and a delicious pot luck dinner.

Following are photos from the evening.

Andre O’Neil, a master cellist and master gardener, performed before dinner.

The entree was roast beef donated by The Meat House on Route 50. And the side dishes were pot luck brought by gardeners. There were salads, casseroles, cheeses, dips and more.

About 50 people attended our first Harvest Dinner.

Awards were presented, including a silver trowel award to Greta who maintained a colorful and cheerful garden that was a delight for young and old, gardeners and visitors alike.

    • Hi Michele –
It was the community in community garden that was at least in part responsible for your good harvest.
Two Wesley residents, who are avid fellow gardeners, weeded and watered your plot and the plots of several others over the summer.
