Meet Me in the Garden

Hi everyone –

I will be in the Moreau Community Garden today at noon.

I will walk around the plots looking for trouble but hoping I find none.

Come visit. Ask questions. Say hello.

I hope to see you there.

  1. Hi Natalie,
I was there early this morning and did some weeding and spread wood chips around #19. I’ve been faithfully adding more soil to my potato plants in bed 5 and am wondering: how long do I continue to do that?
I will be out of town from this Thursday through next Thursday. Could I ask you (or if you know of someone else) to keep an eye on my beds (5 and 19)? I’ve kept up on the weeding so I think they will be fine for that until I get back but watering and checking for pests would be appreciated.
    I am happy to reciprocate.
Also, have you already posted which garden beds are ‘communal’? If so, I missed it. I know the squash beds at the end of the gardens but if there are others that I can help weed, just let me know.
Thanks and have a great day!

    • Sara – I will take care of 5 and 19 while you are away. Enjoy your holiday.
The communal beds are number 6 – tomatoes, the end area for squash/cucumbers and number 34 for herbs.
Thank you for spreading chips over the cardboard I laid down. It looks better now and there won’t be as many weeds.
