Birds at Sunrise

I was in the garden around 5 a.m. today but I wasn’t alone.  A red-tailed hawk was perched on the high-tunnel and scanned the field for breakfast. There were  a dozen or so crows in the trees to the North. Our resident sparrows flew around Bill’s Barn and a hummingbird sought nectar from the plants in the Butterfly Garden.  Busy morning.
